It has been confirmed that the Nigerian Oscar Selection Committee has picked Genevieve Nnaji’s Lion Heart as its nomination for the International film feature of the 2020 oscar awards.
This announcement was made on Wednesday after a statutory vetting and subsequent voting entries made by filmmakers across the country and in Diaspora.
Among the films to be picked, Lionheart was picked for its shot at the riles.
The 12 man selection committee who picked the movie consists of Nigeria’s film industry stakeholders of international repute.
The team is chaired by Chinaeze Anyaene, director and producer of ‘Ije’ Nollywood remarkable bod-office earner and Mahmood Ali-Balogun, foremost filmmaker and chair of the Audio-Visual Rights Society (AVRS).
Other members of the committee include Charles Novia, Ramsey Nouah, Shuaibu Husseini, Bruce Ayonote, CJ Obas and others.
