Senator Ned Nwoko has been nominated to be the face of Philantropy 2019 in the 2019 Philantropy award scheduled to hold around 14th September 2019 in Sheraton Hotels, Abuja.
This category is said to be the highest of the awards which will be conferred on different individuals on that day. it is to be awarded to an individual who has done extrremely well in assisting poor and vulnerable Nigerians. The winner of the award will be the face of philantropy in Nigeria for one year.
According to the organizers, the process of selection involved a nationwide screening and nomination and they had no option but to give it up to the bidder with the highest nomination which happened to be Sen. Ned Nwoko.
The organizers also added that the same category had higher number of nominations than other categories.
Members nominated in other categories include Imam Abdullahi Abubakar who was reputed for his selfless act in service of humanity for saving hundreds of Christian during the Jos crisis in Plateau state.
Although the 2019 edition is the inaugural edition of the award, it is already garnering numerous accolades from the number of persons nominated for the awards.
