Former Governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha has asked Governor Emeka Ihedioha to tender an apology to him and his family especially his daughter Uloma Nwosu for the assault allegedly meted upon her by members of the committee of the recovery of looted properties in the state.
Senator Okorocha alleged that on July 26th, chairman of the comittee Jasper Ndubuaku slapped his daughter Uloma Nwosu at the ALL-in furniture owned by her mother when she tried to ask the members of the comittee why the propertywas being invaded.
Rochas Okorocha, through his Media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo expressed regret that three days after the gory incident, neither the governor or his aides have deemed it neccessary to apologize to the woman. He added that it was even more disturbing that Emeka Ihedioha did not deny knowledge of the gory incident. He wrote:
“It has therefore become neccessary to ask the governor and his government to apologize to Mrs. Uloma Nwosu and her family.”
“In the history of Imo State, Rochas remains the only governor who has ruled the state and after leaving office, his children stayed behind to run their businesses without police escorts, and also move freely.”
The former governor alleged that the Jasper led committee has no template that is why they storm private houses, offices in the guise of having come to recover looted properties.
