Professor. Kingsley Moghalu, the Presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) of the elections held earlier in the year has said that with the security and economic situation in Nigeria in continuous deterioration, the country is inching closer to becoming a failed state.
He also explained his reason for not going to the tribunal to contest the declaration of Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the election, citing the fact that PDP had already done so.
Kingsley Moghalu who had attended the book launch of a bishop of the Niger, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo, titled THE LORD’S PRAYER, PSALM 23 AND THE BEATITUDES at Awada, Idemili North Local government Area, Anambra State.
Dr. Kingsley Moghalu urged the President to sit up and provide solution to the security, economic and growing unemployment situations in the country.
He is reported to have said, “Nigeria is nearing the status of a failed state. With the security situation in the country, if it is not corrected, the path to this state failing is staring us in the face.
He hammered on the importance of the government protecting the lives and properties of its citizens and how poverty should be battled headlong because it is a shame that Nigeria is where it is, despite all her human and natural resources.
